The cosy collection.

I am very excited to bring you my latest collection of original mixed-media paintings that bring a cosy palette of earthy neutral colours in multiple layers. I was influenced by the mesmerising birch tree and the way that I feel connected to nature as an artist. I am bringing you a modern contemporary approach to the local Welsh Woodlands that bring so much comfort and freedom. The Silver Birch is one of the most sacred trees in Celtic mythology symbolising new beginnings and protection.
We are in Autumn, and this time of year really captures the beauty of the trees and landscapes. The colours glow with deep, rich, velvety orange and rustic brown. The trees shed their leaves and curl up on the floor, revealing their detailed patterns as they start to wilt. This season reminds me of the need to let go of your troubles. Shed the old and get cosy with good nutrition and cosy fabrics.
As an artist, I’m always trying to recreate and capture the connection I have to nature in the studio and then invite you to have a piece of this personal and meaningful work.
